Running Administrate

Invoking Administrate

Administrate is a back end utility and is run from either the Command Line or Powershell.

You will need to navigate to the Administrate installation folder to run the program. The key command is administrate.exe and there are two options available for the run:

• -l This command executes a licence registration where you need to enter the path to the licence file

• -f This command executes a job file where you need to enter the path to the specific job file

As an example, dependant on the location you store these files, the full command for both will look like:
administrate.exe -l"C:\Users\user1\AppData\Local\Programs\Tiger Eye Consulting Ltd\Administrate\Heartbeat.dat"

administrate.exe -f"C:\Users\user1\AppData\Local\Programs\Tiger Eye Consulting Ltd\Administrate\JobFile.json"

Encryption

Administrate can be run with an encryption flag so that any secrets can be encrypted. This needs to be structured as follows:

administrate.exe -f"C:\Users\user1\AppData\Local\Programs\Tiger Eye Consulting Ltd\Administrate\JobFile.json" -e
